Michelle, let me second BAM's suggestion that you complain about II's tactics to Jill, the Webmistress. Her e-mail address appears at the bottom of this page. That's the only way SI can know how many of us were spammed, and how much we resent it. I have already done this and urge the rest of you that resent being spammed to do the same. Sleeper

Everyone who has their e-mail address in their profile will get spam. Don't use your main address. Simple counter measure: say mine is cheekykid@moon.net change to cheeky_nospam_kid@moon.net Most people will know that the _nospam_ is for the automated programs that search for e-mail addresses, and they will omit it. Post your e-mail address in ANY new / chat group and the spammers will get it. Just a fact of life on the Internet. Best never to use your main e-mail address in any chat forum. One day you may find hundreds or thousands of e-mail in your box and you may have to change your address to put a stop to it. Happened to me last fall.
