Funny you should mention that brees. Yes as a student of history I find it interesting how american indians are portrayed these days. They are presented as environmentalists and there is no evidence of that, many tribes were stunningly violent at a time when there was no reason for it (plenty of resources, food etc). Of course the white man came and committed all kinds of atrocities but the tribes also were pretty committed to killing each other off before the white man ever showed up. An interesting thing I discovered is that more indians died of disease as a result of blankets brought from europe (that were distributed among the indians) than those that were killed in war. I read that... its interesting but I don't know if its true. Of course Pocahontas also depicted Pocahontas and Captain Smith to look like Zena and Hercules when in fact they were more like Jeanine Garafolo and Don Rickles but thats hollywood for you.
