ITVU >>> To webcast Presidential 2000 campaign by Senator J. McCain

Wednesday June 9, 6:00 am Eastern Time
Company Press Release
SOURCE: INTERVU Inc.
John McCain Pioneers Creative Internet Strategy for His Presidential Campaign
INTERVU to Webcast Senator John McCain's Speeches & Other Public Appearances On Multiple Web Sites for the Year 2000 Elections
SAN DIEGO, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- INTERVU Inc. (Nasdaq: ITVU - news), the leading service provider of Internet audio and video delivery solutions, today announced that it has been selected by Senator John McCain of Arizona (Republican), to be the official Webcaster for the ''McCain 2000'' presidential campaign. INTERVU will Webcast the campaign live and on demand from John McCain's official Web site at www.mccain2000.com.

INTERVU will stream audio and video clips of McCain's interviews, speeches, and other public speaking events directly to the McCain 2000 Web site. End users, specifically press, will have the ability to download and use the video and audio clips for broadcast or other applications, allowing for a completely new way to conduct a political campaign for both the voters and the candidates.

To highlight live and on-demand speaking engagements, the McCain 2000 campaign will be utilizing INTERVU AUDIENCE(TM), a promotional software tool that allows users to make advance reservations to attend any of McCain's Internet events as well as be automatically reminded and taken to the events when they begin. INTERVU AUDIENCE will soon be downloadable from www.mccain2000.com.

INTERVU is also helping McCain to further promote his audio and video streaming content through other Web sites. The first Web site that will co-publish McCain's content is Video News Wire (www.videonewswire.com), a PR Newswire and Visual Data Corporation (Nasdaq: VDAT - news) site that hosts a multitude of video news releases and supporting information on companies and organizations. Video News Wire has created a site specifically for McCain that will offer highlights of news announcements and supporting information on McCain's campaign activities.

A second Web site that will be promoting McCain's content is WindowsMedia.com (http://windowsmedia.com), Microsoft's guide to online audio and video. WindowsMedia.com will soon provide a link to the McCain 2000 Web site where McCain's streaming content resides. INTERVU's multi-site publishing and promoting strategies offer its customers' content a broader reach through high-traffic Web sites.

''Campaigns are incorporating Internet technology into many aspects of their activities today,'' said Max Fose of McCain 2000. ''From fundraising to reaching broader or new audiences with their platforms and ideas, the Internet is impacting the landscape of political races as never before.''

For the 1996 presidential elections, while most of the candidates had their own Web sites, they served more as bulletin boards for key messages and biographical information. Today, this new frontier not only facilitates information to the voters and press but is used to recruit campaign volunteers, attract small donations, organize supporters across the country through e-mail and daily Web updates about the candidate's appearances and do it all in a cost-effective way.

''The Year 2000 political campaigns will, for the first time ever, be largely played out on the Internet,'' said Ed Huguez, Chief Operating Officer of INTERVU. ''What the television first did for elections, the Internet will do for the Year 2000 campaigns and beyond and INTERVU is proud to be a participant in this groundbreaking election year.''
