Brian,

Nice closing paragraph in the SBN version of the TSMC 300mm announcement.

Infineon Technologies AG (formerly Siemens Semiconductors) and Motorola Inc. are already processing 300-mm wafer in a pilot/development facility located in Dresden, Germany. Several other chip companies are also expected to be in the first wave of manufacturers using 300-mm wafers in the next couple of years, including Texas Instruments Inc. in Dallas and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in Korea.

Hmmmm, I wonder how long it will take Micron, Hyundai-LGSemi, and every other DRAM maker to decide they need 300mm too. I guess their other choice is to go out of business.

:-)

Ian.

Jeffrey,

did you enjoy your slumming?

I find it simply incredible that a person of his ilk(Read:prevaricator) has any kind of following. What makes it worse is that nobody questions him one iota. MAybe we should start another thread: Is MB the financial equivalent of Jim Jones?

Pass the Kool-Aid everyone......
