I think there is a possibility that things won't play out that way. I don't know what the odds are, but I think that the visibility problem that FC has in general is a potential problem. I think that the Network World article comparing GE to FC is a potential marker of the problem. If you go to nwfusion now you will be hard pressed to see Dr. Rauechle's rebuttal - due to their cueing system. In fact, the confusion carried over to Ancor's shareholders' meeting when someone asked a very similar question and the whole explanation had to be given again. People can relate to ethernet and the LAN side, because most high tech investors are on a LAN. If you try to explain the difference, their eyes gloss over. People are also interested due to storage projections in general and they might want to stick to bigger players. I suppose by suggesting this scenario, I am in the role of the devil's advocate but it is a possibility. I think that your scenario is more likely, especially given the way the deal is structured.
