"Any predictions on the IPO price on the first day?" Gee, that's a tough question. These wiedro ones are ususally boom or bust. I think this will do very well on their first day for a few reasons: 1. had a high number of hits in March and its viewership growth rate has been tremendous (and for a media company that is the key) 2. very positive write-up about the site last week in Barrons (said it was among the best of the health related web sites 3. there have been many other positive review of the site lately, including one on the Washington Post 4. the health related Internet sites have been on fire lately due to the Healtheon deal which might bring additionbal attention to this deal (of course it would help if it was coming public this week!) 5. these narrowcast sites, which target a particular demographic group or specfic content area (like iVillage) have done well On the other side of the coin, everything is branded on Dr. Koop's name and he is 82 years old.
