My computer didn't come with any Office version at all. (Clone machine). The version I was going to buy from Multiwave is OEM which might not qualify me for an upgrade, and also, it's the 1.x version which is not even eligible for an upgrade. I wonder what they are doing selling that version. The after-market game is very tricky.

Interesting! I bought my system from DELL and the exact same wording was used on their offer too. I wonder if MSFT provided the 'format' for the offer(s)?
