So then this stock is still a short based on the POG decline? I was talking Earnings per share and not net income per common share as you were. So you're suggesting that they will increase that from $0.40 to $0.41, small increase.

You're claim was "NEM to earn $3.00/shr in 2001" I suggested that if copper was to rise to $1.20/lb then gold would have to fall. In other more define words.... if GOLD stays where it is, or rises... NEM should make more then $3.00/share earnings by 2001 {assuming COPPER rises to your level}. BUT that doesn't mean that their net income per share will increase by the same 32% in 2 years. This stock is a poor performer and is latched to gold hard. The PE is over inflated.

Nor do I expect copper to rise to that level.
