Of course I pay attention to the float, because it can HELP me! ebay for example. hot ipo, gs led, and needless to say the small float help this long like there was no tomorrow (in at split adjusted 15).

I have a quote.com subscription as well and I like to look at the #trades leaders in the pre-market each day. I put in a column that shows each of the companies floats. Low float plus news equals screamer. I would like to find a way to screen the whole universe of stocks based on low floats and other factors but have not found a site that does this yet. Didn't see any stock screening features in quote.com.
