There are a couple of other reasons, besides the insider filings, why the short position could have crept up without really changing the overall picture. First, the daily volume is now about double what it was before, so the "days to cover" ratio has actually dropped. Second, the float is probably up about 7% or so since the IDT takeover, which can support a similar increase in the short position.

So overall, if we move and there is coverage, it will significantly hike the volume but not necessarily have a real dramatic effect on the price. . . . particularly if ASCOM chooses to sell.
