Thanks Spots! If Sean convinced you on this, I should give it some serious attention. I think I'll look into ECC price premiums.

FWIW, I'm using PC 100 SDRAM in her machine, but it's nothing special, and certainly not ECC.

Further thoughts from others (or you!) are of course appreciated. I'll keep you appraised (your lucky day <g>).

Edit: I see "quality generic" (e.g., Muskin's basic stick) PCC 100 SDRAMS are down to $77 (!) as of tonight, but ECC can be had for as little as $109. Not too shabby...

Although I'm relatively new to this game I took Seans advise on the ECC, as well as on many other accounts, and can say honestly I have never been disappointed. Seans straight forward.. do this or you'll be sorry... style is very much appreciated and I've learned over the past six months his views can be completely trusted. Not a one BSOD yet. Thanks Sean.
