Bet PCLN's sales per employee are pretty high, too,

Actually BAM, no it's not. Its ticket sales per employee is lower than Preview Travel, but its market cap per employee is about 100 times higher. As I said before, if we use PTVL as a benchmark, PCLN stock is worth about $2.

Regards,

Tom

Priceline recently surpassed 1 million customers and sold over 7,000 airline tickets in a single day,

BAM, Preview Travel had more than 1 million customers last year. It's clear to me that PCLN was on a stock promotion campaign recently by beefing up its subsidies to sell more tickets. This was done to coincide with analysts coverage and around the time of quarterly report. You see, on 4/28, they sold 5000 tickets; a week later on 5/5, 6000 tickets; 6 days later on 5/11, 7000 tickets. Look it's almost 2 weeks, and no 8000 tickets day. This time around, all the subsidies will have to come of PCLN's pocket. Capitol One is no longer throwing good money after bad.

Tom
