Steven, res- We could simply ignore the situation. The result would be a program of ethnic cleansing and systematic genocide that would not stop until Serbs controlled all of what was once Yugoslavia. It might not stop even then.

Well that is the assumption nearly everyone is living under isn't it? I wonder though if we really examine the basis of this belief whether it would stand up. There is no doubt that Milosovic was a murderer and political thug. But on the question of systematic genocide until the Serbs contolled all of Yugoslavia? I'm no where near convinced. To me it reeks of political rhetoric.

Some of the accounts I have read indicated that Milosovic was loosing support from his people prior to the bombing. Who knows if he wouldn't have been ousted in a short while? We will never know now though will we?

I understand you have nothing to suggest, however if given the choice tomorrow would you continue the bombing efforts? Are they justified considering the civilian death toll inflicted daily? Not to mention the fact that we are destroying the Yugoslovian peoples homes and factories.
