By your definition, most libertarians would be shills for the tobacco companies. There are callers who disagree with him; indeed, many times he has asked that people who disagree with him call the program and they are put on the air. Some days he tries to exclusively put on the air callers who disagree with him. He has explained that the program is designed to let the audience hear his views; the callers are, most of the time, used as a springboard to let him express his opinions--that is by design. You unfortunately use a rather loose definition of racism; I disagree on your opinion as to that. Some people define a racist by simply having opinions that differ with one's own--which is a dangerous and inaccurate definition. I don't y agree with everything he says, but most of the time I do find it valuable to listen to what he says because he can be thought provoking. Limbaugh is basically a libertarian; if you listen from that perspective, you will have a better understanding as to where he is coming from. You must also understand that the program is "entertainment" and it is produced to be such; Limbaugh has explained that on the air. If you compare his program, and what he says, to the many local and other syndicated conservative radio talk shows, I think you will find that Limbaugh is far more reponsible.

Peter, OT OT Don't be so hard on JGoren. He is from Texas, Limbaugh country. I went to visit him once and he picked me up at the airport in his Caddie convertible, white with red upholstery and long horns mounted on the hood. He did say he had problem mounting the gun racks on the convertible. By the way, how come you know so much about what Rush is talking about recently? Is it too cold in Alaska and you just need a cheap source of heat to get your blood boiling? Ramsey
