Ah! It took my reply to Max so I can reply to you now... I was going to PM you right after the Hooch reference reminded me that I owed you an answer on Once Hush, but Squid kept telling me I had a Zero Sized Reply. (Has anyone else been getting this a lot lately? Hope it's not that "shrinkage" problem again.)

I listened to the whole Once Hush CD 3 times and, on the whole, I found it "competent but not compelling." A few tracks, like "Things Left Behind," were a little above the rest. I think they're as musically talented as a lot of bands out there (the Del Amitri comparison holds up, but they also remind me of Cracker, The Rembrandts, and LOTS of "local bands") but need better material, IMO.
