They justified it on the grounds of a treaty. Nonetheless your statement seems to make "thinkers" and not whales the endangered species. Hmmmmm...now you might be onto something.

The Indians who killed the whale are really cowards compared to their ancestors. Their ancestors put their lives in great danger hunting the large whales. If the whale tipped their canoe over they were as good as dead from drowning. These jokers were surrounded with power boats and were in no danger whatsoever. Killing that whale was like shooting fish in a barrel. They call themselves warriors......I call them pussies.
