A UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from Task Force Hawk had to take evasive action May 14 to avoid being hit by a suspected SA-7 missile fired from the heart of the Albanian capital. It was the first incident in which a Task Force Hawk helicopter came under fire since the 5,000-soldier contingent arrived here in Mid-April.

NATO military commander Gen. Wesley Clark told task force leaders to respond aggressively to any future attacks. And the task force -- which includes AH-64A Apache attack helicopters supported by UH-60 Black Hawk and CH-47 Chinook helicopters -- changed its flight patterns to minimize the risk from shoulder-fired missiles.
