When this U.K. study took place, 1988-94, mortality was 8 out of 27 for >8 on Glasgow scale. Has the standard of care changed since then?

Too late to bother about as the trial is over and in X number of days we will perhaps have actual information.

Robert, it takes years to do this type of study, years to write the article and years to publish it. Why don't the authors spend an hour making sure even a lay person understands the conclusion and the implications of the conclusion. All I can say is the sicker the kids are the more their bodies tried to fight off the infection. Measurement of e-selectin might help determine how sick a patient is, but seems they already know that with the Glasgow scale rating.

Realize your question was rhetorical. Please spell out what your conclusion is. Remember I don't really believe it was the Murphy advertorials, I think it the science and the deals.<g>
