I know what you mean...

I have been adding to my position in Rambus over the past three months. I try to place a limit order at a point where I feel the FUD is so thick that the markets will honor it a little with a dip. I have generally been able to get what I want, but almost never when I want. I either have to tweak the bid a few times or just wait. sometimes the market moves to me but last Friday I was out of luck. I bought a little at 83 and a half, but would have preferred 82.5 obviously. But I am just a little guy who will never win when chasing eighths of a point.

Of course, the good news is all my purchases over the past three months look terrific right now. In the long run the eighths won't matter, but it is the process which is frustrating.
