does anyone know if this stock can somehow be sold, even though it is not trading?

Apparently so .. people can sell it outside the open market if you can get someone to pay you for it. Your would probably be more than happy to give you the .001 par value for it.

The SEC and everyone was contacted with innuendoes and rumors galore. They are following the step by step process ... They are again current with the filings, audit done, there is a MM that has filed a 15c211 and is in the final stages of the comment process of NASD. There is nothing anyone can do but wait on the red tape and follow the rules to the letter, which is what is being done.

My understanding is that you can declare a stock worthless during the year that it stopped trading - 1998. So you could file an amended tax return (1040 X) for last year. This would be better than selling it, since if it comes back to life, you'd still own it (with a basis of $0.00).
