Dear Mr. Barrett, What part of my post is "inherently inaccurate"? What part is racially motivated?" Why is my "reasoning faulty"? Please define what MY "goal" is. By the way 1/16 of my blood is Iroquois. I started to respond line by line to your last post, but decided not to. Every bit of your post was simplistic, faultily reasoned, and brimming with resentment against Native Americans. What may or may not have happened 15000 years ago, has no relevance to conflicts between peoples today or within the last few hundred years. Instead of arguing about NA's, let's go to Europe for an analogy. The Angles and Saxons invaded England from what is now Germany around 1600 years ago. Other peoples from what is now Germany invaded what is now France, Spain, and other places. (BTW so did the Celts before them.) What relevance does this have to the two World Wars in the 20th century? Answer: nothing. Does ancient immigration from territory now part of Germany thousands of years ago mean that Germany in the 20th century could legitimately claim England, France, or Spain as German territory? Of course not. Would it mean that English, French, or Spanish can't be sovereign nations or are somehow less legitimate than Germany or that nations should be Germans? Again, of course not, but those claims would be consistent with your argument re. NA's. About your 1/16 Iroquois blood claim, I can't help but recall that almost half of my junior high school classmates claimed Cherokee grandmothers. Although a few of them I'm sure did in fact have some Cherokee ancestry, it's likely 90% did not. Not trying to be too nosy, but my skepticism prompts me to ask which Iroquois tribe are you descended from and where did your most recent Iroquois ancestors come from? I think you mentioned Iroquois ancestry to give evidence that you aren't bigoted. I've known some people with a small amount of African-American ancestry who are nonetheless bigoted toward blacks.
