Does this give the IRS the right to look at the whole
return again (barring a fraud charge, of course, which
is always open)?

Colin or Thread: Need to hire an accountant/tax lawyer with expertise in straddles.

I am in need of really good accounting advice. I have created a not-so-vanilla investment club (partnership) that does not-so vanilla investing--many straddles, much leverage among other things. Straddles consist of stock (holding periods vary) and puts. IC partnership is managed by seperate entity, a management company consisting of the partners in the IC.

Preferably the expertise would be available in metro NY, but as some members of the club are in Denver, that would work as well. Really good expertise from a wired accountant anywhere would be OK too.
