I found myself wondering about, if our picks here are not what we ourselves are actually investing in in our own portfolios, how should we deal with that? What does it tell us?

I would certainly hope they reflected what we believe in and bought. I mean, it is not a simulated contest: it tells us if we can find long term value

How about we start a different thread for this contest?

why? once picks are made there is really no reason to revisit except for quarterly update - and even then there is hardly reason for comment

finally, hope this is not losing momentum -- no posting of picks, no posting of rationales (as requested by citizen Burry), no resolution of rules. I for one, would be sorry if this happens. I would like to see tested whether the essence of Buffettology (winning in the market by finding, buying and holding value) is best served by running computer screens looking for impressive ratio's within financial statements.

With such strong opinions, presented in post after post -- why not pick your several best and let's see the results?
