China Redux. Can't believe the lack of historical perspective here. Doesn't anyone appreciate the evil inherent in human nature? Folks, this is how Japan started in the 1930s, rearming so as to provoke a retributive showdown with England, America and Russia for the humiliations suffered at the hands of those powers for the prior 100 years or so. And what did our guys do? Why we sold them the scrap metal which they later dropped on us! Additionally, I recall a demographic study of about a year ago relating to China. Said that due to the Chinese policy of favoring male babies over females, over the next decade or so there would be 70 million young Chinese males without any prospect of acquiring a female mate. What to do with those fellas? How can their spare time, energy and natural youthful aggressiveness be channeled for the good of the state? Hmmm. I wonder if we could learn something from history here? America is not going to be able to compete militarily with China or India for that matter on the basis of available manpower. Our edge is (or was) technology. Thanks to Bill Clinton & Company that seems to be fast fading. Don't be so naive.
