I agree that there is some good info over on the Yahoo boards, but it's getting awfully hard to sift through the incredible amount of garbage too (BIOM especially right now), to find the very rare meaningful posts. But I think the biggest problem with the Yahoo message boards, and why I believe they will become far worse than they are now, is the lack of any kind of user verification - you can just sign up 500 aliases if you want, and Yahoo admin doesn't actually do anything to remedy the problems. You can't have community without some rules of behavior.
