I was spooked by the Globe's article about HP nearly recruiting Mike Ruetgers. I wonder if this move by HP was not contributing to the stock's tanking the past few weeks. I love EMC but will head for the door in a nanosecond if Ruetger bails.

imp, there's no doubt that there are many fine companies in the tech area, BUT tech has undergone a parabolic rise from October and now has been under distribution for 5 months, the trend is rolling over and earnings season is out of the way.

35% year on year growth is fine (there is no guarantee that will continue), but now value is being prized more than growth, the h&s pattern has a projection to 55 and the one on this stock has some striking volume characteristics.

this is a stock the street has fallen in love with, that makes it very vulnerable to bad news.

Most likely I will wait to see if it breaks support on big volume before I short it.
