In the telecommunications firms I've worked in the past, BT, MCI, Sprint, GTE, etc., I've run across a lot of Asians in managerial posts. You mentioned Oracle earlier. Computer Associates is run by a ethnic Chinese. Wasn't Sybase founded by one? I don't recall seeing Asians in upper management in the firms I've worked at. Many of them came from the Bells, IBM, etc. after twenty-five years or more so that may have been near the beginning of the Asian graduate influx.
