Dave, call the company, they will give you the answers. as with good old fairmile, they took over some horizon property , they probably paid some dudes to write glowing stories about their worthless property and the suckers bit. first off, we don't have worthless property, 3.3 bill in SL, grass roots in Maur. and SA. secondly , regarding accounting, if , at the time of any accounting period, if management and their accounts believe a property to be not mineable by a force majeure(sic) or other such pending event and would not be developed in the immediate future, they are mandated to write of the asset. accouting for fixed assests is a different game. look, i don't want to debate you on something which is not meaningful, but get on with the DD, call the company etc. get answers, make your decision then. all i know if SL has peace, rex will be mining diamonds in 1 year. and that my friend is music to my eyes, ears, bank account and the restaurants i go to. good luck V

I stand corrected. I thought the capitalized expenses were leases but this was a late night assumption. It is possible the expenses are not leases. My apologies.

I still question the writeoff of the diamond inventory though.
