Has everyone read about the internet suit on Yahoo? If not, suggest you amuse yourself. I notice one prominent bear has been conspicuously absent. :-)

Pallisard;

I don't know these people personally so, I am at a disadvantage. I don't doubt their motivation or dedication. However, I did not mean that the company is an indulgence for them rather, that they can be idiosyncratic and that they are wealthy enough, as individuals, to support those idiosyncrasies. That is an indulgence. One can be dedicated and idiosyncratic simultaneously. Something worth bearing in mind when speculating about the company's prospects or management's behavior. For instance, when Shugart was CEO of Seagate they did not release much news. They were out of touch with stockholders. Company news was not something he seemed to consider important to investors. It was a source of great consternation when the company started losing money. No one could find out exactly why or when management expected a turnaround or what it was doing to change things. When he left the company became far more open about its expectations and its problems. Does this description sound familiar?
