Kirkland started his own ditch company. I took credit for naming a mining claim after him in Mohave County as Kirland was famous for being the first to secure an American Flag and raise it in what is now Phoenix upon Arizona being admitted to statehood. Nice to see that he was also famous for the IRRIGATION of the area also. Water is king. That is like out in the desert. It will also help to build a mine.
