VII Organizer - BUSINESS WIRE, 09:34 a.m. May 24, 1999 Eastern

NEWARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 1999--Prudential
announced today that it will be the first to provide wireless access to real
estate information and services for users of the new Palm VII(TM)
organizer, the first all-in-one wireless handheld organizer from Palm
Computing, Inc., a 3Com company.

"This new application puts buying and selling a home right in the palm of
your hand," said Jean Hamilton, CEO of Prudential Institutional, which
includes The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. Prudential Institutional

employee benefits, voluntary benefits and corporate financial services
through an integrated, e-commerce approach.

"In the fast paced world of real estate, Prudential Real Estate can now
provide critical information and services to consumers and real estate
professionals with the speed, flexibility, and easy access they demand,"
Hamilton said. "This is why we're looking beyond real estate to use this
new technology in the broader financial services arena, in addition to
helping consumers and agents be more productive," Hamilton added.

"Whether someone is trying to find a real estate broker, identify open
houses, or locate their dream home, the Palm VII organizer will give them
a distinct advantage. And best of all, people will no longer be tethered to a
PC or laptop to get the information they need," said Steve Ozonian,

in the world.

its corporate clients.

"We are delighted that Prudential has selected the Palm VII organizer and
Palm.Net service as a foundation for distributing real estate and financial
information to its customers," said Andrea Butter, acting vice president of
marketing for Palm Computing. "This application illustrates how large
vertical markets like real estate can take advantage of the Palm VII
organizer's convenient mobile Internet access."

"Prudential's new application for the Palm VII organizer is the latest
example of our commitment to using technology and e-commerce to better
serve customers," said Bill Friel, chief information officer for Prudential.
"We're continuing to invest in an integrated technology platform that
makes the real estate transaction easier. Now, this new application for the
Palm VII organizer coupled with Prudential's award winning Internet tools
- will give real estate professionals and consumers even greater choice and
flexibility in connecting to the Prudential Real Estate Network," Friel
added.

Another example of Prudential's commitment to e-commerce is its
eCertification(TM) program, which has already trained and certified almost
1,000 real estate professionals to better utilize emerging technologies to
serve customers throughout the home ownership and sales process.

The Palm VII organizer is the first handheld solution for out-of-the-box
