<< They do not think they are called upon to give solid reasons for going against settled opinion, even among scholars or scientists, but are strangely dismissive and easily charge the Establishment or government or whatever with stupidity, mendacity, or even conspiratorial evil. Okay, maybe, but ya gotta give me better reasons than "open your peepers!!!" or Chomskey says (even though Chomskey is widely viewed as a flake)...>>

Had you left out your parenthetical, you would have been fine. (:o)

Well, "extremists" are often defined by their enemies with support of the liberal media aren't they? Were the House Repubs extremists? Gingrich? Was it an extreme position to insist that a President who faced OVERWHELMING evidence of perjury, obstruction and abuse of office be held accountable? Was it extreme for the Repubs to be portrayed as wanting to starve old people and children for merely suggesting the rate of increase in entitlement programs be slowed down? Extremist is a word to be used very sparingly. People who feel strongly about their convictions are often unfairly viewed that way and we can hardly be surprised that they are impatient to have their core views understood as they seem self evident.
