(Nasdaq/NM:THQI), Asmik Ace Entertainment and AKI Corporation -- were recognized for the second year in a row at this year's Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) Interactive Achievement Awards. "WCW/NWO Revenge" for the Nintendo 64 was named Best Console Fighting Game at AIAS' second annual awards reception held in conjunction with the interactive entertainment industry's biggest trade show of the year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 Expo). Additionally, Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) awarded THQ with four sales awards at a special E3 Expo ceremony celebrating top-selling PlayStation titles for its 1998 fiscal year ended March 31, 1999. THQ's "WCW/NWO Thunder," a January 1999 release, won The Diamond Award -- the highest accolade presented, in celebration of the manufacture of more than 1 million units. THQ's "Rugrats Search for Reptar," a November 1999 release, was awarded The Platinum Award for manufacture of more than 500,000 units. THQ's "WCW vs. The World" and "WCW Nitro" were recognized in SCEA's Greatest Hits category, which honored titles released before fiscal 1998. Both titles received The Gold Award for manufacture of more than 250,000 units.
