Re: "by wildly investing in FABs and process technology. Now Intel is in a downward ASP spiral trying to keep those FABs humming."

Kapkan4u, I was of the general impression Intel made an incredibly wise decision to produce these FABs and they made this decision during a recession. Intel's worse issue could have been the inability to fulfill demand during this big PC growth.

I understand you will be selling your remaining Intel stock tomorrow. I, on the other hand, have been accumulating at these low prices. We obviously see things differently, which is fortunate for both of us because you have a buyer and I have a seller :)

Kan Kan - Re: "Now Intel is in a downward ASP spiral trying to keep those FABs humming."

Funny !

Didn't AMD just report that their ASPs collapsed from $88 to $78 in the last quarter - and from $100 three quarters ago?

I'd call that a downward ASP spiral for AMD.

Wouldn't you, Kal Kan ?

By the way - didn't Intel also report that their ASPs have been holding constant for the past 6 or 8 quarters ?

Do you know the difference between CONSTANT ASP and a 22% DROP in ASPs?
