But there won't be any "copper chips" by Xmas. BTW, why in the world would you want a "copper chip" ... Do you really believe the HYPE that it will run faster ??

For the majority of PC users, everything past 300 MHz is a bunch of hype, and a waste of cash.

Sorry to disappoint you, Craig

I think Craig meant Coppermine. Coppermine doesn't have to be a "copper chip".

If you are planning on buying near Christmas, why would bother with PIII? Coppermine, Celeron, K6-3 or K7 seem to me like a way to go for the next year or so, with PII and PIII disappearing quickly.
