I just re-established a MSFT position, using 2001 Leaps near the money. Options should be a better bet than the underlying stock if the volatility in the future turns out to be more than in the past. I figure that with the trial , high volatility shouldn't be a problem. That said, long term LEAPS act more like warrants than options until around 8 months or so before expiration.
