Well, I am not a religious scholar so I'm not sure how far I should go with this but I'll give it my best shot. Hoping you will give me some slack. Its not a messenger but not a savior situation to me or vice versa. Jesus delivered a message to his followers, nobody contends that. His message along with delivering scriptures of do this and don't do that, was look at me do as I do and as I tell you to do. I am your example, I am the "way." Through me you will be "saved." Now so far, I don't think I have offended any of the three religions you referenced. I'll stop there because the idea as you can see of messenger and saviour is defined. Now religious scholars will be sure to point out that I didn't go far enough and this is where the divisions begin.
