Hello Kenneth, I haven't looked in depth, but their press release at: i-linkww.net seems to indicate that they are rapidly deploying IP Telephony gateways ... hardware boxes which connect the Internet to the phone network ... in 100+ U.S. cities. A customer would then run an IP Telephony application which would somehow analyze the phone number, and then connect to the "closest" or "most cost effective" gateway ... I'm going to guess that they have partnered with MCI Worldcom ( i-linkww.net ) in order to use a consistent backbone network to minimize peering points and hand-offs of traffic. They seem to be using their own IP Telephony hardware, built by a wholly owned subsidiary, MiBridge, which is somehow claimed to be working with Lucent's Elemedia group. i-linkww.net Interesting company ...
