<<I've not used web advertising removers, but I've heard they're one of the fastest growing products, and becoming more necessary every day.>>

Be careful using web ad removers. I have a net program that will become inoperative if you use an ad remover other than the one that's part of the net program. You might check and see if an ad remover affects any of your net programs.

hi pw,

if you're using ie5 along with system works (and clean sweep), here is a note i came across in fred langa's 'langalist'...

"IE5/CleanSweep Conflict

Reader Shelton Leslie sends along this tip:

Fred,

I recently found a solution to a problem with IE
5. I was getting an error (GFP.. APITRAP.DLL or
KERNEL32.DLL) browser tune would not cause this IE
lockup although certain sites would on a regular basis.
It was very annoying to have to restart IE 5 and try
again. The problem turned out to be caused by
CleanSweep 4 and it's modified APITRAP. DLL There is a
patch at Symantec for others with the problem."

:)
