H - No, this is just a big intersection on the information superhighway. It would be of use maybe to a bell, but none of those guys showed any interest as far as I know. I believe both DEC and later CPQ also tried to shop it to GTE - no luck. This is really just an oddity of the rapid development of bandwidth in the bay area - no on-ramps, no off-ramps, no direct access, just a big high-speed switch on some of the most expensive real estate in Palo Alto.
