Related, Well here we have the beginning of more clues to the strategy behind AT&T's Broadband & Internet Services relating to the future of our (IATV)(SPYG). One thing I feel comfortable with, Wolzien sold the patent to (IATV) and we know that Wolzien is from NBC. He could have sold it to Worldgate but choose to sell it to (IATV)... I wonder why, how long has Worldgate been around, who are they, what are their plans, who are they teaming with? Could it be that in exchange for the Wolzien patent deal (IATV) could have agreed to supply NBC with a better alignment on costs and programming in some sort of relationship and agreement for future events? I would have to think so. Imagine for a moment the endless possibilities that IATV could benefit from such a deal. Streaming market data, ECN investment from Paul Allen? Think that one through for a little while. ---- ==== "Thursday June 10, 3:36 pm Eastern Time Island ECN receives $25 mln Paul Allen investment NEW YORK, June 10 (Reuters) - Island ECN, the nation's second-largest electronic trading network, said on Thursday that it received a $25 million investment from Microsoft Corp.(Nasdaq:MSFT - news) co-founder Paul Allen. The investment, which gives Allen a 12 percent stake in Island, comes less than three weeks after Allen and other investors put up $300 million for Island's parent company, Internet brokerage Datek Online Holdings Inc. It also marks the latest in a series of high-powered investments in electronic communications networks (ECNs), trading systems that compete with U.S. exchanges by matching stock orders. ''This validates the importance of the electronic networks,'' said Matt Andresen, Island's president. ''In the end, it's all an endorsement of this business model.''" ==== ---- We know MSFT handed over more than a few billion to AT&T... could be that the agreement for the CE operating system would align Microsoft in such a way that AT&T and IATV could help MSFT in this attempt to bring the future of the stock market to everyone's TV's. I would think that such a push/pull technology would be needed in order to make this work streamline. How else does MSFT get an entire market to work on it's CE system without the help of AT&T's backbone and AT&T's partners? You could sit and be watching television and in the same instance be trading securities with the touch of your remote control... or you could have your data transferred to your palmtop per pre-set preferences on your new (SFA) or (GIC) cable boxes. Imagine your future TV to have a preferences window, just as your computer has, your TV would be at your command to do various sorts of tasks while knowing where you are the entire time, and sooner than later it will find you... in your car at your job, I could go on and on. ---- ==== "Where will the PC be five years down the road? Here's a glimpse into the future, according to Ballmer: Ballmer sees the PC's central role as being the controller for the entire household network of Web-linked televisions, smart phones and appliances, display screens, and even stereos. That said, he expects the number of PCs in the home to increase from one to four. Right now in the U.S. about 55% of households have a PC. Commenting on this 'PC-Plus Era,' Ballmer says Microsoft has about 30% market share in the palm-sized wireless device industry. So what else can consumers expect in this brave new world? 'We know there's a big opportunity lurking out there, even if it's not as big as some of the opportunities we've pursued before,' Ballmer said. 'Increasingly, more and more of our information -- all of our information -- will also live in the Internet,' including options like backing up your PC to the Internet. Today, people can download and upload data to and from handheld devices." ---- ==== AT&T, NBC, MSFT, SUNW, TVGIA, GIC, SFA, TUNE & SPYG may bring your entire electronic and digital world all to one platform, you think? I can comfortably say I see it happening 100% and sooner than you may be prepared for! The top tier companies are aligning themselves as we speak for "The Jetsons" family in real-time & real-life! The possibilities are endless, the excitement long awaited and the platform will work in synch with just about every electronic or digital "thingy" you can place a finger or data receiver in the midst of.Folks welcome the the world of convergence!
