Credit Suisse and Lehman both initiated coverage on razf with a buy and outperform rating. Important to remember too that they were two of their four underwriters.

That $9.00 figure would presumably be in Can. seeing as how Geac is a Canadian company. You typically read one or two rumors a week on any given stock, however, why I felt this one was worth mentioning was due to the fact that Geac (GAC) is now focusing a lot of its energies on the internet (see May releases). Their bio certainly explains the possible reason for the buyout - "Founded in 1971, Geac is a provider of mission critical enterprise applications, supplying industry specific software to ten vertical markets as well as cross industry administrative applications comprised of financial, human resources and materials management software".

One of those rumors that makes a little sense I suppose. The $9.00 per share is certainly a joke however and lends very little credibility to the rumor.

Correction on my last post - National Bank's acquisition of First Marathon fell through (not First Capital). Too bad because we could have possibly had another house on our side.
