hi stock bull, in response to your question about reasons for this drop: sector rotation - yes, but this is temporary...the valuations are getting to high relative to the growth potential of these cos; higher interest rates - yes, but this is still a "reaction" to the change in bias and the bond yield...people will soon come to their senses that even a 6% int rate is LOW, which favors the stock mkt and will attract $$$ back to leaders like dell (even though perception is now that it is better to take profits in high pe stocks). re: "What's you take on the market and tech stock drop??? Reasons, magnitude of the decline, going into bear market, etc.??" imo, just a healthy bit of profit taking...(over)reacting to news, selling after earnings season, typical MAY, FEAR cuz the mkt is at near all time highs...with inflation??? creeping back into the pic (which i disagree with...i would bet that the econ #s will not support the last cpi #...we'll see)... don't think the decline will continue much longer...NO WE ARE NOT GOING INTO A BEAR MKT...NO WAY...you know this...strong corp earnings, low infl'n, improving global econ, tech innovation/leadership will resume...inuts letting out some air (healthy) sorry i am not typing in complete sentences...wanted to answer you promptly but am very busy today...hope this helps...i'll write more later if you have other ?s...all jmos... also, FORTUNE AND BIZ WEEK featured nets and hi valns...THIS PUT SOME FEAR INTO THE MKT TODAY FOR SURE...lots of moms and pops selling, taking profits...this will settle down... cheers, GR
