I contacted Centillium and confirmed they do not license their G.lite from Aware. This line card produces no royalties. Promatory may still pay Aware on the ATU-C or Aware may have been replaced all around. Feel free to contact Centillium to confirm. Tim

Hi Scrapps,
You really provide good information. Looks like this is another feather in Aware's cap (or maybe not if Tim is correct). I'm liking Aware more and more each day anyway. Interoperability will be the key. From what I see both Promotory and Centillium are currently private. I assume they will plan IPO's and make a bundle on opening day. At least that seems to be the way it's been happening.

By the way, I don't know if you listened to Westell's conference call, which as far as ADSL went was a real bust -- ADSL units up 73% and earning down. Selling below cost. They have left that business for the time being. They are set to go only when real deployment makes it profitable and they say they make a great modem. They also specifically stated that they currently have no product with TXN, but maintain the relationship. So whatever TXN/Amati is doing, their effort is yet to be revealed.

Thanks for the info,
Michael
