I thought Dell was "bullet proof".

DELL may be .... peoples emotions are not... take emotions out of investing and go on good fundamentals.

[This is starting to remind me of last Oct....however, the fundamentals are totally different]

In a way its worse. High P/E ratios and interest rate worries.

larry...re "last october"

fundamentals same...strong corporate earnings, good growth, low inflation...

difference in perception, october the markets perceived global economic collapse...today it's fears of the usa future...same fear different subject...

time to worry is when fundamentals, as in bad earnings, low growth, and inflation become reality...

stock bull, no stock is "bullet proof"...dell needs a face lift to change perceptions of them as a "darling"...and i really think we will hear about it SOON...hang in there if you are not on margin.

re: fundamentals being totally different...they are better, imo...once int rate jitters calm down, the mkt will climb to new highs, with the naz/techs leading the way...

re: long term dell bulls selling...that's hard for me to believe...they should have lightened up in feb at the highs...they, too, must be selling out of fear...remember, many of them have 100s of 1000s of shares...so they have seen their portfolio's mkt value drop A LOT lately...i hope they aren't selling now...STOCK WILL BE A SURE BUY SOON, and is a good buy now...there is no way dell is staying this low for long, imo.

take care, GR

Funny, it's been reminding me of last Monday-after-expiration day, when we lost 130 points and then gained it all back I think by Thursday of that week. And that was with interest rates on the upswing, not the downswing. I think we'll end the week up both on the NAZ and DELL.
