I don't think it has anything to do with the AT&T deal. It's just the correction that we all knew would come someday.

900 Million Outflow From Equities The Week Ended May 19, 1999 trimtabs.com Director of Research Carl Wittnebert estimates that all equity funds had outflows of $900 million over the five day week ended Wednesday, May 19, 1999, vs. inflows of $7.5 billion during the prior week. Equity funds that invest primarily in US stocks had inflows of $200 million, compared with inflows of $5.8 billion during the prior period.
