Come on EBID. Go for the NUMBER ONE spot in all of AUCTIONS. Become the LINUX of Auctions. Look at how Microsoft is so scared of them now. Do something like LINUX. Make the PUBLIC part of your business plan. Don't just try to SELL them something. Make them want to participate and be a part of your business model. Make them WANT to participate. Make them a part of it. It is a BIG world out there. Make the experience of going to your site more than just the sale of products. Make every visitor get something out of it even if they do not buy or sell the first time.
