That has been their objective - but the order of importance was probably the inverse of your order.

Intel's focus on the Internet has lead to a lot of investing in pure internet plays - as Internet growth is - correctly - deemed healthy for Intel's CPU sales.

Moreover, Intel has been "taking profits" on many of the successful IPOs from their investments, creating additional cash for re-investment.

I hope this compounds their success.

Maybe Intel will generate enough investment cash profits to buy-out AMD !!!!
