Mr Peterson if your so confident as to where you believe MSGI is going then instead of ridiculing someone on the thread why don't you share with all of us idiots where you think the stock should be valued.
Not that we'll pay much attention to what you've got to say, but perhaps there are better methods than the one you've chosen. The question asked was one of hypothetical nature and should be answered in such a way.
Otherwise you should stick to reading FASB or GAAP text and keep your smartass comments to yourself!

Mark, I think you are being a bit harsh. MSGI currently has a market cap of $400MM (give or take). If this company does $100MM in revenue this year (based on its current portfolio of activities), I think it could easily support a market cap of $600MM (especially given some of the factors Austin has been targeting with his "15 points"). If either organic growth or acquired growth takes them to the $250MM range in the next 12-18 months, this should be (easily) and $1B market cap company. I know: you eventually need earnings (all these internets will one day need to meet reasonable bottom line targets) but for now, I think valuing on a P/S multiple makes more sense.

I'll agree with you that Austin's YE price estimates are overly optimistic, but I think there is solid logic supporting a reasonable run to the $80+ range in the next 6 mos. unless the internet sector continues to get hammered as it's been over the past month. Then all bets are off! JMHO.

Regards,

Pete

Mark Perterson, CPA

In 1987 or 1991? I wasn't surfing the Internet, were you? Step away from the dark ages and clear your eyes. Begin to see the force, the impact the Internet will have upon companies such as MSGI. It will happen, but many lack the vision to see.
