Very OT - (i.e., further responses should probably go in the Phantom Menace thread) I've noticed a pattern to these wildly divergent reviews for this movie. Ignoring the people that aren't serious in their opinions, the people that are very into the Luke-Vader-Leia-Han characters are disappointed while those that are more into "Show me more of the Star Wars universe" love it. I'm definately in that second category however both are valid points of view. One valid criticism that has surfaced is that Lucas doesn't show any scenes of the Naboo really suffering so our empathy for the queen is not as strong. BTW: I watched the first 3 movies over the weekend and it didn't diminish my positive opinion of Ep.1 at all. Chip stockcharts.com
